Complete Electrolyser Setup – Alkaline, AEM, PEM etc.

Our electrolyser setup is based on our general electrolyzer X-Cell, which is a modular build cell, that gives you the most flexibility in your research. 

Some of the unique features of the X-cell are

• Interchangeability between the current collectors w/wo flow fields in Nickel, Stainless Steel, Copper, Titanium + more on request. This will allow you to build setups for alkaline electrolysis, Anion exchange membrane water electrolysis (AEMWE), and PEM electrolysis and much more. 
• High chemical resistance (also to 30wt% KOH) 
• High temperature operation (< 90°C)
• Setup not designed for high pressure setups (<10 bar)

Besides the current collectors and electrodes the electrolyte will only be in contact with corrosion resistant polymers which is important to ensure that e.g. electrodes/catalysts are not poisoned from dissolution of e.g. metals in the cell. Also it can be operated in the full pH range (depending on materials choices) and to elevated temperatures (95°C).

Compared to any similar product on the market, some of the unique features are

• The active area can easily be switched between 2.5cm x 2.5cm and 5cm x 5cm
• The current collectors can be bought individually in different materials (nickel, titanium, stainless steel or copper) with and without interdigitated flow field
• Due to interchangeability of gaskets and current collectors, the cell can be used for many different applications within electrolysis and fuel cells

This setup gives you a complete solution for your electrolysis setup, including not only the electrolyser cell, but everything around it. This includes:

• 2 Channel Peristaltic pump
• All reservoirs, tubings and fittings for the setup
• Optional gas separation unit 
• Programmable power supply
