About the product

A Modular Reservoir for Every Scale of Electrochemical Research

The Redox-Flow Multiport Reservoir is a highly versatile and chemically resistant beaker designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern electrochemical research. Whether you are investigating novel flow battery chemistries, optimizing electrolysis processes, or developing advanced CO₂ reduction systems, this reservoir provides the flexibility and control needed for accurate and repeatable results. Available in 250 mL, 500 mL, and 1000 mL sizes, it offers a scalable solution that grows with your research, from initial proof-of-concept to pilot-scale validation.

Unparalleled Flexibility with a Nine-Port Design

At the core of the reservoir’s design are nine configurable ports, providing unmatched flexibility for your experimental setups. With three ports in the lid and six in the body, you can easily create complex flow arrangements, introduce multiple reactants, purge the headspace with inert gas, and integrate various sensors for real-time monitoring. The ports can be configured for either 1/8″ or 1/4″ OD tubing, allowing for seamless integration with your existing laboratory equipment.

Integrated Temperature Control for Precise Experimental Conditions

Temperature is a critical parameter in most electrochemical reactions. Our multiport reservoir features an integrated stainless steel heating and cooling plate at the base, giving you precise control over your experiment’s thermal environment. The system is compatible with multiple heating and cooling methods:
  1. Hotplate: For simple and effective heating.
  2. Heat Cartridges: For direct and rapid heating, with space for up to four cartridges.
  3. Liquid Circulation: For both heating and cooling, by circulating a heat-transfer fluid through the base plate.
This integrated system ensures uniform temperature distribution throughout the electrolyte, eliminating thermal gradients and leading to more reliable data.

Built for Chemical Resistance and Durability

We understand that electrochemical research often involves aggressive and corrosive electrolytes. That’s why our multiport reservoir is constructed from materials selected for their exceptional chemical resistance. The main body and lid are made from polypropylene (PP), and a protective PTFE film shields the stainless steel base from any contact with the liquid. All wetted parts are designed to be inert, ensuring the purity of your electrolyte and the longevity of the equipment. With a choice of EPDM or VITON O-rings, you can customize the seals to match the specific chemical compatibility requirements of your system.

Applications Across the Electrochemical Spectrum

The versatility of the Multiport Reservoir makes it an essential tool for a wide range of applications:
  • Flow Battery Research: Use as an anolyte or catholyte reservoir for testing new redox couples, evaluating membrane performance, and studying long-term cycling stability.
  • Water Electrolysis: Ideal for holding electrolyte in PEM, AEM, and alkaline electrolysis experiments.
  • CO₂ Reduction: Provides a controlled environment for studying catalysts and reaction conditions for electrochemical CO₂ conversion.
  • General Electrochemistry: Can be used as a versatile reaction vessel for electrosynthesis, corrosion studies, and sensor development.
